Had my ETA 2824-2 serviced here after it started losing about 40 seconds a day. The whole process was explained clearly at drop-off — what they'd do, how long it would take, what it would cost. Two weeks later I got it back with an accuracy report showing +3 to +7 sec across positions. That's within COSC spec and better than it was when I bought it. Very pleased.

Walked in for spring bars on my Seiko 5 — they handled it immediately and charged exactly ฿3,500 as listed. No waiting, no fuss. The previous shop I tried in Bangkok quoted me almost double and wanted me to leave it for a week. I wish this place was closer to home.

I was only in Phuket for ten days and my Longines had a worn crown gasket. Tickwright replaced it the same afternoon. Small job, but they treated it seriously — checked the caseback seal as well and let me know it was still fine. That attention to detail says a lot about how they approach the bigger jobs too.

The case polishing on my Tudor Black Bay came out well. I was a bit nervous because the brushed and polished sections on that bracelet are easy to get wrong. They showed me the plan before starting and matched the original finish properly. It doesn't look brand new — it looks like a cared-for watch, which is what I wanted.

My Grand Seiko needed its service — about six years since the last one. Finding a watchmaker in Phuket I trusted with it took some time. Krit was straightforward: told me what he'd do, showed me the timing machine results when I collected, and the watch was regulated to within a few seconds per day. The price was what he quoted. No additions.

I wasn't sure what to expect — I needed a spring bar replaced on a watch I'd bought as a gift for my husband and I only had a couple of days left on the island. Walked in, done in 20 minutes, correct price. The person at the desk explained what they'd checked (the bar had been the wrong width for the lug, apparently). Small interaction but professional throughout.
Detailed service journeys
MOVEMENT SERVICE — OMEGA SEAMASTER
A watch that had stopped being reliable
CHALLENGE
An Omega Seamaster with the caliber 1120 had been losing 90–120 seconds per day and stopping during the night. The watch was nine years past its last service. The client, a long-term Phuket expat, had been told by another shop it needed a major overhaul but wasn't given specifics or a written quote.
SOLUTION
Tickwright carried out a full movement service — disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, inspection of the mainspring (still within tolerance), fresh lubricants, and regulation. The client received a written pre-service inspection note and approved the scope before anything began. Timeline: 10 working days.
RESULT
Post-service timing report showed +4 to +9 sec/day across all six positions — well within Omega's specification. The watch was handed back with a 12-month warranty card and a copy of the accuracy report. The client has since returned for case polishing on the same piece.
"The accuracy report was what sold me. I could see the numbers myself rather than just taking their word for it. That's rare."
CASE POLISHING — ROLEX EXPLORER II
Preparing a watch for resale
CHALLENGE
A client relocating from Phuket wanted to sell his Rolex Explorer II. The case had accumulated heavy wear marks on the bracelet centerlinks and noticeable scratches across the polished bezel. He needed the cosmetic condition improved without losing the character of a worn but cared-for watch.
SOLUTION
Pre-service inspection documented the existing marks. The brushed and polished sections were treated separately — centerlinks deburred with correct tools, polished surfaces worked by hand to reduce scratches without over-polishing. The client confirmed the approach before starting. Completed in four working days.
RESULT
The bracelet and case emerged significantly improved — the original brushed/polished contrast restored. Heavier marks on the underside of the bracelet were reduced rather than eliminated, as discussed. The client sold the watch within two weeks of collection and noted the cosmetic condition was commented on positively by the buyer.
"They showed me exactly what would improve and what wouldn't before touching it. No surprises."
