1. About These Terms
By leaving a watch with Tickwright for any service — inspection, repair, cleaning, or polishing — you agree to the terms set out here. These terms apply at our workshop at 46 Patong Beach Road, Kathu, Phuket 83150, and to any service arranged by phone or email.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time your watch is received is the one that applies to your service.
2. Accepting a Watch for Service
When you drop off a watch, a service intake form is completed noting the watch's condition, the requested work, and the agreed scope. Both parties receive a copy. Work begins only after you have reviewed and acknowledged the intake notes.
We accept watches that are brought in person. We do not currently offer postal or courier intake. If you have questions about condition assessment before dropping off, you are welcome to call us on +66 95 482 3617 in advance.
3. Estimates and Pricing
Prices listed on our website and in our printed materials are indicative. The final cost for your watch is confirmed after a bench inspection. If additional work beyond the agreed scope is required, we will contact you before proceeding.
You are under no obligation to approve additional work. If you decline, the watch will be returned in its current state and a bench inspection fee may apply.
4. Our Three Services
- Movement Service & Accuracy Report — Includes cleaning, lubrication, regulation, and a written multi-position accuracy report. Backed by a 12-month service warranty covering parts and labour related to the serviced movement. Estimated turnaround: 7–14 working days.
- Case & Bracelet Polishing — Hand polishing and brushing to refresh surfaces and reduce light scratches while preserving the original finish. Same-week turnaround for most pieces. Polishing does not restore deeply gouged or bent metal.
- Spring Bar & Gasket Replacement — Replacement of worn spring bars and water-resistant seals. Walk-in visits are welcome. This service does not constitute a depth-rated pressure test unless specifically requested and quoted separately.
5. Turnaround Times
Timeframes given at intake are estimates made in good faith. Complications with parts supply, movement condition discovered during disassembly, or workshop volume may extend the timeline. We will keep you informed if your watch is running behind the initial estimate.
If a watch has not been collected within 30 days of completion notification, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you. Watches uncollected after 90 days may be subject to a storage fee.
6. Service Warranty
The 12-month warranty on movement servicing covers faults arising from our work on the components we serviced. It does not cover:
- Damage caused by impact, submersion beyond the gasket specification, or misuse
- Parts of the movement not included in the agreed service scope
- Wear that develops naturally from continued use
- Watches that have been opened or adjusted by another party after leaving our workshop
Case polishing and spring bar / gasket replacement do not carry a separate written warranty, but we stand behind our work. If you have a concern within 30 days, bring the watch back and we will assess it at no charge.
7. Your Responsibilities
Please disclose any known history of the watch — previous repairs, impacts, or exposure to water or chemicals. Undisclosed conditions may affect the outcome and could limit our ability to warranty the work.
Collection is the customer's responsibility. We recommend collecting your watch within 14 days of the completion notification where possible.
8. Our Liability
We take reasonable care of every watch entrusted to us. In the unlikely event of damage arising directly from our negligence, our liability is limited to the cost of repair or the fair market value of the watch at the time of intake, whichever is lower.
We are not responsible for pre-existing faults that become apparent during servicing, or for watches whose age or condition makes disassembly inherently risky. We will flag any such concerns before beginning work.
9. Payment
Payment is due in full on collection. We accept cash and major debit and credit cards. Work remains the property of Tickwright until payment is received in full.
10. Your Personal Data
Information you provide during intake — name, contact details, and watch details — is used to manage your service and nothing else. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Phuket Province.
